Lecture Poster

I was asked by the Art History Club at UMass Dartmouth to create their event posters for the 2014-2015 school year. One poster I created was for a lecture on blown glass art given by Hallie Meredith. The client provided me with copy and a few original images to choose from. I wanted to give a very geometric and yet translucent feel with the framing elements used throughout the poster. This lecture was going to be a sort of precursor to the actual class she would be teaching on the subject. The deliverables included an 8.5” x 11” poster and cover photo for the Facebook event page. After being asked to create the lecture poster, the professor said she liked it so much she wanted me to create a similar poster for the class she would be teaching the following semester.
