The assignment was to take any two artists of our choice, alive or dead, and create a catalog for a fake exhibition. When choosing these artists we needed to find a connection between the two, be that similar visual styles or similar mediums such as screen or print. We had to also write an introduction for the catalog, as well as find an interview from each and collect the images we wanted to feature in the catalog. I chose two of my favorite artists, Jessica Hische and Kyle Cooper. I decided to put them together because after my initial research I realized that though their styles are very different, how they approach their work and their work ethic is very similar. For the final book, I went with a sketchbook style binding and played on the element of time and process. In the beginning of the book, it is very bare bones, and as you continue through the catalog the elements become more ornate.
